The platform handles more than 7,000,000 unique visitors per day and processes 8 orders per second during the busiest season.
You will be a part of the application management function and you will also be in constant contact with our Architecture team and Tech leads as well. Your main responsibility would be contribution on the improvement of our e-commerce platform and looking into new technologies and approaches.

What will you do?

  • Analysis of repeating errors and finding ways how to automate the processes to avoid them
  • Maintain production services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
  • Proposition of new opportunities to achieve higher efficiency and stability of the platform
  • Demonstrate proficiency in multiple areas of programming (web development, performance tuning, etc.)
  • Identification and active participation on improvements across the application landscape and used technology stack
  • Analysis, fixing and resolution of high priority incidents (P1/P2)
  • Triage, analysis and detail specification of low priority incidents for handover to development teams
  • Work with current application support analysts
  • Work together with multiple IS, development and support teams

Now you’re probably wondering what skills and knowledge we expect from you? Well…

  • Experience with web development based on any OOP (PHP preferably), Linux, SQL and NoSQL technologies such as Oracle and Couchbase; Varnish, RabbitMQ, CDN etc.
  • Expert analytical skills
  • Knowledge of version control system and development tools
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to be a part of on-call rota for production systems
  • Professional communication skills in English
  • Ability to understand shared code and complex infrastructure
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and infrastructure
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps culture
  • Proficiency in multiple areas of software development (programming, performance tuning, etc.)
  • Experience with any ticketing tool
  • Proactive approach and willingness to learn new technologies

Extra mile for us:

  • E-commerce platform development experience
  • Experience with a big production/high traffic website (ideally a transactional retail website)
  • Knowledge of frameworks and libraries such as Symphony and React
  • Ability to work independently, plan ahead and take action
