Our UK & Ireland Finance department consists of a number of departments, some of which focus on financial and management accounting. The teams will range in sizes, from 1 to to 8-member teams. Most of the teams enjoy flexible working hours.
The daily job in our teams is quite diverse. It is about corporate accounting, analyses, budgeting, reporting and investigation. You will solve complex tasks with different challenges across business units. You can learn about different ERP systems, accounting and tax legislation requirements in different countries and master your excel and analytical skills. We play a substantial role in transformation from an SSC to a Centre of Excellence model. As a Centre of Excellence, we play an advisory role, provide guidance, best practices and local market support. That is why we are looking for you!

What will you do?

What will you do?

Retail reporting:
▪ Prepare weekly sales and margin phasing each month in line with required deadlines
▪ Prepare store targets, store profit and loss accounts, provide store payroll support
▪ Prepare an operational reporting pack each month
▪ Provide variance analysis which clearly highlights any risks or adverse trends, feedback findings and solutions to the local market management

Airport reporting and audits:
▪ Prepare airport concession statements
▪ Take ownership for weekly and ad hoc airport reporting
▪ Be the lead contact for airport audit requests liaising with the Travel & CC Finance Business Partner as required
▪ Prepare year end audit certificates

Financial control:
▪ Post all period end journals in line with ledger close deadlines
▪ Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
▪ Provide balance sheet commentary highlighting any risks and opportunities
▪ Own and run the rent model each month – for input into both forecast and actuals

Now you’re probably wondering what skills and knowledge we expect from you? Well…

▪ Strong corporate finance background
▪ You are part-qualified accountant (desirable)
▪ You have advanced knowledge of English – both written and spoken
▪ You have strong analytical skills with advanced Excel
▪ You are strong in systems and process competencies
▪ You can work to deadlines, prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
▪ You are creative and resilient problem solver
▪ Good understanding of business systems and processes is an advantage
▪ Previous experience of SAP and Business Object is an advantage
